About Entrusted Word Ministries

The Story So Far

It all started with a desire to serve the Lord, reach the lost, and make disciples.

In 2005 the concept of Entrusted Word Ministries (EWM) was only a seed that was not yet ready to be planted.

That all changed in the spring of 2012, when it became clear that God was bringing various and seemingly unrelated elements together to allow the formation of EWM.

Though EWM began in the local church setting, it has blossomed into more and more opportunities to bless churches and ministries around the world.

By 2021 we had completed over 1700 projects in 35 countries, in 28 languages.  God has been very gracious in letting us serve His Kingdom on a global basis.

In January 2019 EWM joined with Propempo International as our new "parent" organization.  PI works with churches and those interested in serving as missionaries. They provide training, consulting, and mentoring for sending churches and for those who are sent.  The strength of our two groups provides a natural synergy of skills and reach which will reach more fully the world for God's Kingdom.

In the Lord's timing EWM became an separate 501c3 organization in October of 2022 as Propempo moved to merge with another missions minded organization.  This was a perfect fit for them, but EWM was not a good fit for the combined organization.  We were adopted as a ministry of the Bible Church of Cabot, AR.  They operate as our board, but we function separately as far as finances and operations.  It is good to again operate with the bounds of church oversight, while still maintaining our independence financially and operationally.  The Lord's timing is perfect and we look forward a long and fruitful ministry if the Lord see fit to grant us that privilege.

We will see how God chooses to use what He has put in place for His glory.

Our Acts-inspired Vision

Entrusted Word Ministries (EWM) has been established to act as an enabling and sharing ministry for like minded churches, their associated missions efforts, and with like minded ministries.

Entrusted Word Ministries specializes in these areas:
  • Support for the communication of biblical truth using modern media and technology
  • Support for biblical training and educational efforts
  • Support for service projects, events, and logistical support
  • Support for evangelism, missions, and church planting

We find our labors mirroring those of the apostle Paul in his missionary journeys.

Acts 13 - Planting/Establishing

The Holy Spirit led Paul and Barnabas to be sent to other regions.  The primary goal was to plant/establish gospel centered churches.

EWM assists those who are involved in church planting ministry work.

Acts 15 - Assessing

After the first churches were established one of the stated goals of the second missionary journey was "to see how they are doing".  The primary motivation for this journey was to "assess how things were going" in the various churches.

EWM helps assess the capabilities of churches to see how effective they are in meeting their ministry goals using their current tools.

Acts 18 - Strengthening

On the third missionary journey Paul sought to "strengthen the disciples."  The primary goal was to strengthen churches to grow as a body and be more effective in reaching out to the lost.

EWM is primarily focused on helping to strengthen the ministry efforts of local churches and ministries, with particular emphasis in the use of modern technologies.

Blessed with Strategic Partners

FIRE
The FELLOWSHIP OF INDEPENDENT REFORMED EVANGELICALS (FIRE) is an international network of more than 100 reforming, baptistic local churches. FIRE churches hold many similar doctrines and practices based on the theology of the Protestant Reformation. They work together on various ministry projects/missionary activities which are sponsored and overseen by individual churches.

FIRE holds international (usually in May) and regional conferences (usually in September or October) to encourage fellowship, mentoring, prayer, and joint ministry.  -firefellowship.org

TMAI

THE MASTER'S ACADEMY INTERNATIONAL (TMAI) exists to glorify the
Lord Jesus Christ in their ministry endeavors by serving and supporting strategically-selected ministry training centers around the world.

Many countries are in need of national leaders who are trained as Bible expositors capable of providing spiritual oversight and sound theological instruction.

The primary focus of TMAI is to support the training of national church leadership in the cultural context with a goal of complete indiginization.
To sustain and expand this endeavor they provide opportunities for like-minded individuals, local churches and Christian organizations to participate at various levels with the training centers.

Please note that TMAI does not officially establish formal affliations.
EWM and TMAI work together cooperatively on individual, church, and training center projects.

Our Beliefs

The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts, and the supreme and final authority in matters of faith and life.

God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that He created everything out of nothing for His own pleasure and purpose.

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God, and that when Adam sinned he caused all mankind to be plunged into both physical and spiritual death. As a result man became alienated from God, totally depraved, and incapable of remedying his sinful condition by his own means.

Christ

We believe in the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ who was conceived in Mary’s womb by the Holy Spirit. From the moment of conception Jesus Christ became the God-man; the eternal union of complete and full human nature as the Son of David with the complete and full divine nature of God the Son.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless and perfect life that fully pleased His Father; that He died on the cross for the sins of those He came to save, and that He bore the judgment demanded by God’s holy justice against sin, so that God remains just and at the same time justifies those who believe in Jesus.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ rose bodily from the dead, never to die again, and ascended to the right hand of the Father, where He intercedes as High Priest and Advocate on behalf of all who believe in Him.

Salvation

We believe that salvation in total is accomplished by God’s grace. The new birth (regeneration) is the sovereign work of the Spirit of God giving life to those dead in sin who are sovereignty chosen by God independent of any human worth or merit. This gracious work of God results in saving faith in Christ alone and issues forth in an obedient life of faith. True believers, although never perfect in this life, are eternally secure in Christ and will persevere in faith being progressively conformed into the image of Christ by the power of the Spirit until they are brought home to glory.

We believe that the Holy Spirit baptizes all true believers into the one true church, the body of Christ. The Spirit also permanently indwells believers, seals them as a pledge of their future inheritance, and empowers them for service and holy living.

We believe that the Scriptures have given us everything pertaining to life and godliness, including not only salvation from the penalty of sin but instruction in righteousness for present sanctification and a persevering life of faith, to the glory of God.

Ordinances

We believe that two ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper (although powerless to affect salvation), are to be observed by all believers in obedience to our Lord until His return.

Last Things

We believe that at death the souls of the redeemed pass immediately into Christ’s presence to remain there until the resurrection of the body at Christ’s return for the church.

We believe that at death the souls of the lost go to a place of torment, where they remain until they are brought before Christ at the Great White Throne judgment to be judged according to their works and cast into the lake of fire, there to remain eternally.

We believe in the personal, bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ to earth in power and great glory to establish His glorious kingdom and rule over the nations to the glory of the Father.

We believe that the final dwelling place of the triune God with His people will be the new heavens and new earth, where God’s people will have eternal access to Him in the New Jerusalem forever beholding His glory in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ.
