Ana María is mainly providing biblical counseling and pastoral care in Barcelona, Spain, to those who have suffered severe trauma or are struggling with emotional, psychological, or spiritual distress. She graduated in 2009 from the International Faculty of Theology IBSTE, in Barcelona, with a bachelor’s degree in theology; she also received a master’s degree in biblical counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2015. 

She has been serving at the International Church of Barcelona, a very vibrant and diverse community of faith from all nations, since 2016. She is fully involved in four main areas at the church: 

1. Pastoral Care Team: Helping believers and unbelievers to navigate challenges in their lives drawing them closer to Jesus. 
2. Biblical Counseling:  Walking with believers or unbelievers to find the meaning and purpose of their struggles in their lives from a Biblical Perspective.  That causes believers to deepen their relationship with God becoming more Christlike; and unbelievers tend to encounter Jesus in the process experiencing the power of the Gospel in their lives.  The goal is that every person experiences a transformative and growing relationship with Jesus to serve and to impact others where the Lord places them. 
3. Prayer Team. She leads twice a month the online prayer time at her church. During the church´s fasting and prayer periods, twice a year, she serves leading and translating from English into Spanish, or vice versa, when it is necessary. 
4. Mentorship women: her church has developed a wonderful ministry to mentor young women. Mentors become the spiritual mothers of the mentees. This experience of walking together brings deep spiritual growth for both of them since it is designed to be a long-term relationship for the rest of their lives.  

During and after Covid season, God has given to Ana María the opportunity to counsel pastors, families in leadership, and church leaders worldwide since she is bilingual. This unexpected gift from God has enriched Ana María’s counseling skills and her life in all senses.
