How we work?

We offer individualized, church-based training in collaboration with churches and plants. The training is tailored to the student's prior knowledge and experience, with a focus on six key areas through mentorship: character, convictions, calling, competence, chemistry, and cultural suitability.

Based on the student's prior knowledge, experience, and maturity, we customize a program to help the student achieve the goals in the six focus areas. This includes an extensive reading program, group discussions, taking relevant online courses from various theological schools, practical training within the local church, regular mentorship meetings, training days, conferences, and practical experience in other churches.

We offer full-time, half-time, and part-time studies.

 Why Sweden?

Sweden is often called the fastest de-Christianizing country in the world. Fewer than 2% of Swedes now identify as evangelical Christians. For the last 25 years on the average at least one evangelical church closed its doors every week. Vast areas of the country have no faithful, gospel-preaching church within reach. Yet in the middle of this decline there is a growing hunger among Swedish believers for the unchanging truth of God's Word — and a growing burden to see new churches planted and existing churches strengthened.

Your partnership directly supports interns as they are trained, mentored, and sent — and helps make church planting in Sweden a sustainable, multiplying work rather than a one-off effort. Every faithful leader equipped through The Timothy Program is a step toward seeing the gospel take root again in towns and cities across Sweden.
