Who are we?

Rotad (meaning rooted) is a non-profit Swedish publisher focusing on translating gospel-centered books and internet resources. Our vision is to provide resources in the three key areas of EQUIP, EXPLORE and ENGAGE (see our vision statement below).

We are aiming to publish one book a year to EQUIP Swedish leaders to proclaim and help churches to return to the Bible as well as a yearly gospel-centered resource for churches, families or individual Christians.

A key focus for us is to provide materials to help families and individuals in all age groups to EXPLORE the Bible particularly in the area of daily Bible devotions.

Our third focus area is to produce resources to equip churches to ENGAGE with the outside world, focusing on resources for outreach and training in evangelism.  We want to help ordinary Christians to give an answer to the questions people ask and to clearly point them to the Lord Jesus. 

What’s the need?

There are very few gospel-centered resources available to EQUIP churches and their leaders to faithfully proclaim and apply the Bible. Materials to help families and individuals to grow in their relationship with Jesus, as they EXPLORE the Bible for themselves, are also a pressing need. In addition, there’s a tremendous need for clear, Christ-centered evangelistic resources to help ENGAGE an increasingly secular society with the gospel.

Rotad has come to a turning point to either slow down what we do (to a great extent on a voluntarily basis) or to hire a person to expand the reach and the influence of what we are doing. We firmly believe that this is a key time for Rotad to be a strong voice for the gospel and the Bible, and to help unite evangelical Christians in strengthening the church.  
 
We have a skilled and suitable man who has volunteered for many years. Given the funding he would be willing to start right away. Would you consider linking arms for this great cause?

​​The Rotad Story

After distributing one of our first books, “What is the gospel?” in Swedish, a brother was traveling up north in Sweden and happened to stop in a small village.  He noticed that the local church had a meeting and walked in.  


Praise God to see that in this village they were training their members through a study of “What is the gospel?”  This is the greatest need for us in Sweden to rediscover the gospel that used to be preached in every village, town, and city, but to a large extent is now lost.

 

Why Sweden?


“Isn’t Sweden a Christian country?” Actually, it’s reckoned to be the fastest ‘de-Christianizing country in the world, with less than 2% now identifying as evangelical Christians and at least one evangelical church closing down every week.

 

Yet in the midst of this decline, there’s a spark of hope, with a growing hunger among evangelicals for the unchanging truth of God’s Word.

How you can be involved?


Please consider helping us to produce resources that ‘give God the microphone’, putting God’s Word back in the center for Swedish churches, their leaders, families and ordinary Christians.

 

Rotad is still in a formative stage but are praying and striving towards being self-sustainable.
